Demo content importing is not necessary to run theme, but for faster site development and familiarization with theme we recommend you to import demo content because it shows you all pages layouts, shortcodes and other post types which you received with theme.
- navigate to Theme Admin > Import / Export options
- select option Import Demo Content and click on the button with the same title Import Demo Content
- after click on button, demo content will be automatically uploaded
Note: be careful please, if you are working on the site where is some existing content, demo content replace all existing content. We recommend upload demo content on fresh empty WordPress installation.
What to do in case of unsuccessful demo content import.
Import of demo content may take some time depending on the server where is theme installed. In some cases can import of demo content crash because of low memory on the server or expired time for script execute.
If you receive red unsuccessful message after import, but on the frontend you see that part of demo content has been uploaded correctly, give it a try please and try to import demo content few times again. Usually can problem appear during demo images download as it takes the most of import time.
